Climb Lazy Mt, 3,000' gain in 2.5 miles. Down back side in a scree trail, over next knoll
and down to McRoberts Creek. Follow creek to base of Matanuska Peak, a 3,000' climb in a mile.
Reverse back to finish.
Ron, it was fun once again to be able to travel with you. Like during the Susitna100 of 2002, you kept me going through the valley of doom (or was it the McRoberts valley) towards the mountain of impending death and mutilation (I think it is better known as Mat Peak). Left to myself I would rather just lie down and pass out trailside.
Congratulations once again on a spectacular finish and good luck with the Resurrection 100.
Hope to see you soon.

Ron,
Great job on Mat Peak!!! Loved the photos. If I wasn't so sore I'd want to go back this afternoon and re-live the whole experience. K
