B.C. Ferries has been operating for many years by the Provincial Government linking the mainland to Vancouver Island communities.
There are several routes to various destinations on the Island. Our route was from the Tsawwassen terminal, an hour drive from Vancouver,
to Nanaimo on the southern third of Vancouver Island. It cost about $100 CAD one way to ferry our car across with two passengers.
The crossing took about two hours and it was very enjoyable to take in the coastal scenery on the outside decks.
