It’s been a rough week. Barley our beloved family member for almost
17 years, who grew up with my 3 children, was absolutely adored
by us all. He crossed the rainbow bridge tonight. He had advanced kidney
failure and took a turn for the worse a week ago. It is always so hard
to know when the right time is to set his spirit free, but tonight he gave us
a sign that he was ready. We will dearly miss his calm and loving
personality. He never met a dog or a person he didn’t like. He is pictured
here working at my medical clinic as a therapy dog and had an uncanny
ability to lower my patient’s anxieties and blood pressure. He enjoyed his
work. We will miss him dearly but take solace in the fact that we were so
privileged in having such a loving companion for so many years.
