Juba - one of the fastest growing cities in Africa - is still very much a sleepy small town. It's got to be one of the roughest, if not the roughest, capitals in the world.

Hi! I'm heading to South Sudan this week and trying to get as much information as possible about photography there. I know you are supposed to get a permit for photography but I have also heard otherwise. I'd be fine as long as I'm not photographing the police or government buildings. Is this true? What was your experience if I may ask. Thanks
