I was put up here in 1985 while covering the famine in Darfur. I had to escape at night to get into town by climbing out of the windows as all the doors were locked, I remember listening to Ian Botham on my short wave radio hitting 6's during an England test match. Water was delivered by donkey and there was no electricity.....pretty spooky on your own !
