We entered Georgia at the Sarpi crossing with Turkey. First stop in the country was Batumi, which is an interesting, rather small seaside town. Very subtropical, exactly the way it's described everywhere. Gonio fortress, where one of the Apostles is supposedly buried (too bad I forgot which one), and the pebble beaches south of town are interesting stops.

my grandfather was working on rebuilding the fortress of Batumi in 1909 - 1914 years. Where can I find files and documents? Nicholas
