These pictures represent a select sampling of photos taken over about 10 days of the record visit of a Snowy Owl to Indiana in the *summer*. This has been formally documented in the "Indiana Audubon Quarterly" of May 2005, pgs. 105-110 by John B. Dunning, Jr. of Purdue University.

There are over 50 pictures - most are in time sequence. Some pictures were selected for their aesthetic value, others for documenting the setting. Most photos taken by Canon Digital Rebel with Sigma 50mm-500mm "Bigma" lens; kit lens on others.

David Flores, a professional nature photographer, spent much time on-site for several weeks of the bird's stay. It is hoped that he will soon provide the promised pictures that he took while there. It is expected that many of his pictures will exceed the interest of even these pictures. And they will certainly exceed the quality.
