( The Synagogue)
Notice the Hebrew writing on the walls. I was surprised to find that the most noticible difference betweeen the synagogues and the mosques that we visited in Southern Spain was the language used on the walls. In buildings consructed by Jews the writing was in Hebrew while Muslims used Arabic in their buildings.

The white on the walls is a type of stucco that was applied wet. I saw it in both Spain and France. Originally the stucco was painted. In some of my photos later on you will see remenants of the paint.
