POPPY AND HER DADDY

Time and the rain have covered his dust
but a life is born from his shadow,

at the end of the day
when I knelt down to pray
to asked for a favour or blessing
I looked deep inside
and what did I find
a flower that left me long guessing,
what was that bloom
that entered my womb
from the one who loved me so dearly,
this flower so red
it reeled round my head
and healed all my yearning and longing,

and time and the rain
will come round again
while we watch our red flower growing,
my eyes could not see more beauty than she
in her eyes there’s a gold light that’s glowing,
her sweet tiny face
ineffable grace,

now I have all I need, incarnated seed
from my lover who gave me his blessing.
