Salang, Tioman, Malaysia

The island of Tioman, off the south east coast of Malaysia. We went for a diving trip, to get our PADI open water certificate. We stayed on the northern part in the town of Salang. Lovely people and a great atmosphere, makes for a nice place to spend a week diving. Easiest way to get to Tioman is to fly from either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur with Berjaya Air http://www.berjaya-air.com/.

Obviously I don't know all the diving instructors in Salang, but I feel pretty confident that we ended up with the coolest, most laid back instructor, Azmi. Having said that, we found him VERY professional and knowledgeable and we always felt safe in the hands of this experienced instructor.

Thanks for some good days, Azmi and Mazlan and everyone else in Salang.

We are looking to do the same thing. We will be traveling across from singapore. Can you give me the name of the place you stayed and how to get in contact with the dive instructors. your pics ae lovely!!!
