Today Kermanshah is a busy Iranian city, but the region is renown for being one of the first places on earth in which the first human settlements occurred 10,000 years ago.

Today it is best known for its two World Heritage Sites: Taq-e Bostan and Behistun and the Ghajar dynasty monuments.
