I went to a practice session for the Redlands, California Airshow yesterday afternoon.
This is the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet, built by McDonnell Douglas
for our friends to the north. The paint scheme is in commemoration of the
60th Anniversary of NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command,
headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. I assumed the entire team was going to fly,
but he was solo. It was still amazing to see the speed and maneuverability of this
flying fortress and the talent it takes to fly one.
