Here are a few shots from a trip to Minnesota in January 2005 to photograph the Great Gray Owl. We concentrated our efforts in the Sax-Zim Bog area about 60 miles north of Duluth. On one particular day we counted 69 individuals. That year will most likely be the largest invasion of Great Gray Owls ever in the states in recorded history. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did photographing them.
