One of the items on my bucket list of things to do before I "kick the bucket" was to see Niagara Falls.I had been warned it was very commercialized and the town certainly lived up to that reputation...very glitzky...schlocky....but....if you ignore that part ....and we did...you can see why the falls are one of the 7 Wonders of the World.It is a breathtaking sight to see this massive wall of water(6 million cubic feet per minute flow over the falls),the most powerful waterfall in North America.We stayed at one of the large hotels overlooking the falls on the 40th floor(here you pay extra for both a falls view...and being higher up).We weren't coming 3000 miles to see this and NOT have a good view.....and oh was it worth it.We also booked in for a Sunday night stay to see the fireworks...again...well worth it.
So when we walked into our room having not yet seen the falls(you can't see the falls from ground level unless you walk right up to them)and opened our blinds our mouths dropped open at the amazing sight before us.These first images you will see were taken from our 40th floor view.Later in the gallery you'll see various vantage points including right behind the falls.
