I joined my wife on her following trip in March to Northern Alberta.These were my observations of a winter in what can be a harsh environment.May of these images were from the Slave Lake area.Like all of the west in Canada,they received an inordinate amount of snow.It is hard to believe that just a few months after these shots were taken that close to 40% of the town of Slave Lake would be destroyed by forest fires.
