Saskatoon,Sk.

I mentioned on this gallery intro that I had hoped to find some ghost towns on this trip.We started our trip with an overnite at my stepson's place in Saskatoon. He and his partner own an old house across from the city hospital. This house was used during the TB epidemic of the 1950's to house the bodies of those that succumbed to the illness so as not to contaminate the reast of the hospital. Some guests that have stayed here have said they have heard the from these former inhabitants, especially a 7 year old girl that passed on here.Footsteps at nite on the creeky floorboards when everyone is in bed and the cries of this little girl.I'm not a big believer in ghosts but I did hear something that nite as we slept downstairs.I heard a faint call for help and thinking that my wife had fallen I said are you ok?She was sleeping soundly beside me and the voice I heard was from across the room.SPOOKY!
The boys are in the process of building a new deck and when they tore the old one off they discovered two rooms in the basement only accessible from the outside. The first was easily accessible once they tore the old deck off. Many items like these shown were in that room, the other room was sealed off and they decided to just leave it that way!
P.S.
Note the soda bottle of Teem?Teem was introduced in the early 60's as Pepsi's answer to Coke's 7Up.Choices were limited back then and I remember getting excited when this came out.As a young teen I would walk down to the local golf course, golf bag slung over my back and play 9 holes then stop at the clubhouse for a Teem and a Mr. Big bar....then go play the back 9.(which actually were the only 9 we had all over again...:-) )

Definitely a haunted area! Spent some time in the old City hospital when I was a kid. It was always scary being in there!
