You never know what's going to be a good photo op.I had wanted to get a shot under the bean without a lot of people in the pic.Just as I was finding a good angle to shoot from all these school kids came in throwing red balloons in the air.I thought crap there goes my shot.Turned out the one with the kids and balloons was way better than one void of kids.The balloons made for interesting patterns in their reflection off the mirrored surface of the bean.
Named Cloud Gate by it's sculptor Anish Kapoor after it's completion in 2006,the bean has become the number one attraction in Chicago.It certainly was the number one thing I wanted to see when we toured the city.
Now I want to go back with my DSLR next time!
