Once they have spawned,their final task in life complete,they come to their final resting spot.Not a pretty sight.I was hoping to see eagles and bears attracted to all these salmon lying dead in the river but I am guessing due to the large crowds(over 50,000 per week),they were waiting for the people to leave.There is a large group of fish and wildlife people here counting the salmon.After they find them dead they count them and then cut them in half showing that they have now been counted.
