Our frontyard

This poor little sparrow hit our front window while I was outside shooting the new growth on the pines.I went to investigate and couldn't see it laying on the ground so I assumed at first it had flown away and was ok.Just as I was leaving I heard a faint chirp and looked up in the pine growing below the window. There hanging onto a small branch of needles was this poor little fellow, breathing but not moving. It allowed me to gently caress his head but when I tried to move him,he chirped and flapped his wings(which was a good sign).I let him rest while I used that time to snap off a few shots. After a bit I thought I would try again and when I tried to cup him in my hand,he flew into the nearby crabapple tree.30 minutes later he was still sitting in the same spot, obviously at least very winded. He would close his eyes for a bit as he rested.I went back 30 minutes later and he was gone.,hopefully having flown away recovered.
Funny how something as seemingly inconsequential in our lives suddenly becomes very important.
It left me with a good feeling.
There's my story of my morning.

Great job on the rescue attempt - it's the try that's important and you were rewarded with a special image.

Oh, it sounds like he is okay now. You are a good man and I'm sure he thanks you.
