Two days ago we were starting to wonder if we were going to not have a white Christmas here in Alberta.A warmer than average November and no snow.Yesterday we were ravaged by 24 hours of steady snow and then the high winds kicked in overnight, giving us drifting snow making highway travel treacherous. This was the scene I awoke to this morning looking out our window across the street. It shall be a white Christmas indeed.I haven't even ventured out yet to see how much has accumulated and drifted across our driveway and sidewalks as the temp. right now is -9c with wind gusts of 40kph making it feel like -20c.This weekend it will drop to -25c.
So this is what's happening in our neck of the woods.
I am dreaming of Hawaiian beaches right now.
