I spent the day at the Edmonton Northlands Racetrack watching the thoroughbreds race.As you will see from my images,it was a rainy day producing some interesting results. After a stretch of scorching hot weather, the skies opened up and it began to pour. The track went from fast to sloppy in a hurry.Suddenly people betting started scouring the racing form to see which horses had performed well previously on sloppy rather than fast tracks.
"They're at the post.....they're off!".

They're at the post
....and they are off!
Early positioning...
The mud flies as they continue down the opening stretch..
You got some good shots...used to go to the races to watch a horse I bred run. Sad to say but Bay Meadows Race Track is going to be torn down and a biz park built...hug
