Today there were at least 30 Red-throated loons on the bay. All were still in basic plumage like this individual and unlike a Horned Grebe that was fully in alternate/breeding plumage. One flock of 7 were sleeping about 150 yards offshore west of the beach road opposite the 1st crossover.
