I first found this bird along the bayside shoreline between the 1st & 2nd crossovers on April 11th. It was with 2 Black-bellied Plovers and a small group of Dunlin and Sanderlings. Today I had my camera with me and got these 4 photos on a heavily overcast morning. It was still hanging with the same little flock.
This is a very early date for Red Knot, and apparently it is also early for it to have progressed this far into alternate(breeding) plumage.
