Many birds including many shorebirds and gulls were feeding in the wrack on the ocean side about 100yds north of the Gurnet guard shack about 8:30am. While scoping the shorebirds, I noticed a very white gull well back in the group. Based on its white wings and size I believe it is an Iceland Gull. The shorebirds were skittish - suddenly rising up, flying about a bit and returning to essentilally the same spot they left. When they did so, the gulls would sometimes rise up with them. Rather than disturb the whole flock, I settled for distant shots of this unusually late bird.
