This individual briefly visited the High Pines area of Duxbury Beach at 9:45am on May 28, 2012 (approx 2 hours before low tide when most of the bay is mud flats). It flew around the High Pines peninsula area for about 10 minutes frequently calling and then headed south along the shoreline to toward the Gurnet marsh.

They seldom are seen on Duxbury Beach though on Sept.1, 2011 a group of 7 juveniles turned up in the same area where this bird appeared. For reference a pair nested on Plymouth Beach in 2009.
