A few Ipswich Sparrows appear in the late fall and remain well into the winter though I can't recall them lasting the entire season. This one was in the area they where they often first appear about 1/4 mile south of High Pines. They have a tendency to sit up on the tops of bushes and I suspect the raptors may find them easy targets.
