This bird was found on the bay side at the cove just south of the High Pines area of Duxbury Beach, MA. Due to the distance the pictures of the bird standing are only sufficient to make a confident identification - nothing more (pix 2-4). The bird flushed, along with others in the area, and flew past me about 30 yards offshore allowing me to get some better shots of it in flight.
The bird headed past me and kept going south along the shoreline out sight. I drove and looked down as far as the north end of Plum Hills when I ran out of time, and I was unable to relocate it. While the photos are marginal, my 60x scope gave me terrific looks at the bird - a really handsome lifer!
