The caretakers at the Convent brought me to see a nest they found wondering if it could be a Piping Plover nest and should be reported. While everything was wrong for PIPL I went to check it out because any such nest in that location would be interesting. It proved to be Killdeer nest. This little gallery shows the nest and the two parents about 50 yards away on the mud flat, seemingly unconcerned that we were near the nest.
