8/6/05 - Welcome to our Fiji Gallery. Our previous 3 years were spent on the Caribbean Island of Bonaire. For this year we wanted something new and chose Fiji. We spent the first week with Dive Kadavu on the island of Kadavu and the last five days in Pacific Harbour where we dove with the Beqa Adventure Divers. We did 11 dives in Kadavu and 6 dives in the Beqa Lagoon. Overall there was some fantastic diving with good visibility and lot's of critters to photograph...

Photo information - I primarily shot macro with an EOS 20d and 60mm macro lens (focuses down to 1/1 macro) in an Aquatica housing. For lighting Inon strobes were used with ULCS strobe arms. This was brand new gear for this trip nothing touched saltwater until we reached Fiji. Everything worked out great. The Canon 20d is an awesome camera and the Aquatica housing performed flawlessly. All images were shot in Raw and post-processed in Photoshop.

Hi Rick, Theses are wonderful photos. I'm trying to get motivated to spend the $5,000 or so to take my Nikon D2X underwater. This might make it happen. Thanks for sharing.

That is awsome. We spend 5 days on Figi a few years ago resting up from our trip to Australia and New Zealand. Had we have known all that was there we could have tried snorkeling and saw some of it. That camera is great. Thanks for sharing.
