Bocas Del Toro is an archipelago of islands in NW Panama. It's where the Caribbean Sea meets the rain forest and is dense with mangroves, beaches and wildlife. Most visitors stay on Isla Colon and party or visit the famous starfish beach. Isla Bastimentos however is a world away - totally un-spoilt with very few places to stay. Red frogs spring over the unbelievable 'Wizard beach'. After showing an interest in wildlife, Jaguar, our Rasta guest house owner offered to take us over to Isla Popa, and navigate us through the maze of mangrove channels to see what we could find. There are no tourist boat trips here and so the local indigenous 'Indian' people were as surprised to see us as we were of the juvenile 3 toe sloths…
