40th President of the United States of America (1981-1989)
The rose has survived natively in America for 40 million years. In 1986, then President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the rose as the United States Floral Emblem. It is fitting that we remember the man who never promised the nation a rose garden, but as President gave us a world without a Berlin Wall.
