Lions Road

The Lions Road is a shorter scenic link between Rathdowney in Queensland and Kyogle in NSW. The road passes through the Border Ranges National Park and overlooks the unique Spiral Loop railway line. The Kyogle Lions Club undertook the promotion of the road as a community project in 1969 and with assistance from companies and the community, a dirt road suitable for cars was opened in December 1971. The road is now fully sealed.
