Bush Key is right next to Garden Key on which Fort Jefferson is built, and the two islands were connected by a sandbank at the time of our visit - this sandbank is sometimes washed away by passing hurricanes - I'm not sure if it is there at present.
Bush Key is closed to visitors during the nesting season - this photo is taken from just in front of the rope barrier limiting access to the island.
