Everglades sunset

Loxahatchee

This shot nearly didn't happen - I went to Loxahatchee National Wildlife reserve, to blow away the New Year's Day cobwebs, only to find I had left my compact flash cards at home and all I had with me was a 32Mb card (does not go too far when shooting raw at 8 megapixels)

I was about to give up and go home when I met a friend from the office who kindly lent me a CF card so I could carry on shooting.

I know 560mm (400mm plus teleconverter) is not a traditional focal length for sunset shots, but it's what was on the camera and there was no time to change it - the sun goes down pretty quickly in Florida even in January.
