Nearing 41 years of age and still going strong.
Built as a GP40 by Electro-Motive Division in December, 1966, the locomotive was originally Chicago, Burlington & Quincy #174. With the merger of the CB&Q into the newly created Burlington Northern in 1970, it was renumbered #3004. After being rebuilt to GP40-2 standards by EMD in November, 1989, it became GP40E #3551. Following the merger of the BN and Santa Fe it was again renumbered to #3026 in 1998.
