On a cold autumn morning, an Eastern Bewick's Wren stops at a feeder to sample the selection. While they ordinarily eat insects and spiders, Wrens sometimes consume bread crumbs, peanut butter, suet and seeds especially during the winter. The previous afternoon this bird had been attracted to the feeder by some live moth larvae I'd place there for it.
