A Yellow-billed Cuckoo (Coccyzus americanus americanus) foraging for caterpillars under the canopy of an American Elm tree. Sometimes called a Rain Crow because it's appearance is thought by some to be a sign of imminent precipitation. During the summer it breeds in North America and then winters as far south as Argentina. Although not listed as an endangered species, the beautiful bird's numbers are declining.
