Burlington Northern Extra 8046 West, the daily Birmingham to Los Angeles "QLA" train, passing Woodring Airport. The train of TOFC (trailers on flat cars) was headed by SD40-2 locomotives #8046, #8100 and #8148.

The structure seen in the background above the train is the Farmland Industries (now Koch Industries) fertilizer plant.

I was very fortunate in that the "QLA" often arrived at Enid for a crew change between 5 and 6 p.m. This allowed me many opportunities to photograph it while on my way home from work.
