thanks wright. the forest in Virunga is not as deep as Bwindi so it tends to be lighter and the gorillas here are not so arboreal so are often seen in open clearings. All the gorillas here apart from Charles, the huge silverback, were out in the open despite the rain. The 135/2 is a remarkable lens though. sadly all my photos 2010-2013 were stolen and so i have only had the chance to edit perhaps 6 of them (the gorillas at the beginning of this album) to a standard i would like them, out of all the photos in my pbase account

135/2 = brilliant! I had the 85/1.8 when I visited in 2005 and recall how dark it was in the jungle. Great shots.
