Day 4: The Lava Tower is a large volcanic rock sitting on a ridge at 15,200 ft. We kept hoping the weather would clear, but the rain continued. Several members of the group felt sick from the altitude on the hike up to the tower. We stopped for lunch at the tower, but not everyone was able to eat. It was not a pleasant lunch for anyone.
