My brother in law died/KIA March 7, 1945 in Germany. He was with the First Army but I have no Unit information, etc. I suspect he might have been at Remagen trying to climb "Flak Hill" after the taking of the Leudendorf Bridge and not made it. His name is T/SGT Robert P. Weier, Jr. of Dodgeville, WI. His NARA records were in a fire in 1973 and were lost. His ARC/serial number was 37804155. Bob was a great man, kind with glasses, he was a piano whiz. That is my favorite remebrance of him. He left behind my sister, Eileen and two daughters. Another of the lost "Greatest Generation". I hope this may sound familiar to someone. I would like to hear more and be able to pass it on to my nieces. Inducted into the Army February 1943, he trained at Camp McCain, Miss. and Fort Jackson, S.C. and was sent overseas in October, 1944.
He trained at Camp McCain,

Your web site is the best World War II web site I have seen on the internet. There is no substitute for photographic imagery to truly get a feel for what it must have been truly like.
Would it be possible to get a scan of the full map?
