These are my collection of all lumads (indigenous peoples) in Mindanao.
I started photographing them in 2004, with my aim to gather and photograph not only their faces but document their interesting ethnicity. Hopefully one day soon I will publish a book so I can inform people that our precious tribal heritage is slowly vanishing. I hope, through my photos, we can help preserve what is left of our traditional culture and pride.
I am one of them. I was just recently adopted and baptized by one of the tribes here in Davao City, the Obu Manuvu tribe.
