Message from Rhonson Ng
Rhonson Ng is an award-winning photographer whose images are published in brochures, coffee table books, billboards, posters and tourism materials all over the country. From Manila, he moved to Davao in 2003 to conquer Mount Apo (Philippines' highest peak) and has been climbing an average of thrice yearly since then. He has worked as official photographer for the Department of Tourism Region XI, before opening his own photography studio.
He is an avid mountaineer who has scaled many peaks around the country (and in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia), a spelunker who is into cave photography, a diver and a trekker. Rhonson's skills vary from portrait, landscape, fashion, sports, aerial, product, food, wedding to photojournalism. He has honed his eye in film photography and darkroom processing before moving on to digital photography, so he remains partly purist by heart.
He contributes to local papers, national and international publications. He has also been interviewed and featured in magazines, newspapers and television shows. Rhonson has launched several photo exhibits, both in Mindanao and in Luzon. He has also won several photo competitions, and is now enjoying the task of being invited to judge.
Currently, he gives basic and advanced photography workshops and commits to travel assignments here and abroad.
