Cesky Krumlov



One of Bohemia's prettiest towns, Krumlov is a living gallery of elegant Renaissance-era buildings
housing charming cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, and galleries.

Bustling since medieval times, the town, after centuries of embellishment, is exquisitely beautiful.
In 1302, the Rozmberk family inherited the castle and moved in, using it as their main residence for nearly 300 years.

Few dared change the appearance of Krumlov over the years, not even the Schwarzenbergs, the Nazis and the Soviets.
A medieval sense reigns supreme, now augmented by the many festivals and renovations that keep the town's spirit alive.

In 1992, UNESCO named Cesky Krumlov a World Heritage Site for its historic importance and physical beauty.

CK is the favourite town of most travellers to Czech, and us included in no doubt.

Ray: I entirely agree with you regarding Cesky Krumlov. It is my favorite European town. I have visited it five times and hope to do so again. I have created a “Topic” for the town and I am adding your gallery to it.
