Huangshizai (Yellow Lion Fort) 黃獅寨

黃獅寨位於張家界國家森林公園西部，最高點達1200公尺，有登山索道及登山石道﹝共3878個石階﹞。

黃獅寨因貌似雄獅而得名，這裏景點最集中，是張家界旅遊區的精華。景觀雄偉壯麗，氣象萬千，
向來有“不登黃獅寨，枉到張家界”之說。

Huangshizai, named after a hermit Huangshi, covers an area of about 16.7 hectares, and is about 1,100m above sea level.
It provides the largest sightseeing terrace in Wulingyuan, and is characterized by overhanging cliffs,
high staking platforms, jagged rocks and elegant apexes.

Standing on the terrace, one can have the panoramic view of all kinds of queer pinnacles and numerous grotesque peaks
which resemble a clear, crystalline jadeite.
