Venice - Riva degli Schiavoni

The spikes at the bow of the gondolas are representing the quarters of the city, in Venice called Sestier.
Venice consists of six Sestiere: San Marco, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro and Castello.
The one spike directing to the stern represents the island of Giudecca.

There's an abstract nature to this beautiful shot. Well seen.
