More Cooper's Hawks

The immature Cooper's Hawk in the first 8 images was shot at the Pinnacles National Monument in central California with the Canon 100-400 1/400, f/10 to f/11, 400 ISO. My wife and I were leaving late in the afternoon after a long hike and some interesting photo opportunities when we saw this hawk in a tree fairly close to the road just before we reached the highway. As you can tell from the head movements, he was busy scanning the field below for an unwary bird or other critter. Unfortunately, the camera was set to 1/100 for the first shot, which is why it's pretty low quality.
The next 10 shots were taken at Grant Ranch Park on Mt. Hamilton Road above San Jose. The hawk was working the trees for an unwary bird and, over just a few minutes, flew from one side to the other across the trail.
