This is why you can't sneak up on an owl

Prescott, Arizona

This image was captured in very low light after the sun had set. The owl was in "hunt" mode, intently scanning the area in front and to both sides of it. It rotated it's head 180 degrees(Try that sometime!) to see who or what was making so much noise walking on the carpet of dry leaves under the Cottonwood.
