African Lion
(Panthera leo)

Tanda Tula, Timbavati PG Reserve, Kruger Park, South Africa

This male lion was watching us closely. This is among the many I would not like
to see while walking down a trail in Africa after dark. Of course, being fully aware
of what's out there, I would *never* walk down a trail in Africa after dark.
