This is my 80th birthday picture taken yesterday (May 4th).
I graduated from Mississippi College with a BS in Education.
I later received a master's degree in health services administration from
St. Francis University.
During my professional life, I had two very distinct careers:
1. For 26 years, I was in the field of hospital administration
in Mississippi and Tennessee. At the end of my first career,
I was Senior Vice President, Regional Hospital Division,
Methodist Health Systems, Inc. in Memphis, TN. I gave supervision
to their 12 hospitals in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
2. In 1990, I left a successful healthcare career because
I felt God's call to enter the gospel ministry. I am an ordained
Southern Baptist minister who pastored and led two Arizona Southern
Baptist ministries before retiring in 2016 due to health reasons.
I was later diagnosed with Parkinson's. I currently teach a
Bible study class in my local church in Sun City West.
To my fellow classmates: Surprise! Surprise!
